“2RuleFilter” is a self-resonant moog type filter that allows the filter cut-off frequency to be controlled manually, or by LFO, or by an envelope follower. It has a interresting feature called “scrambler” that plays filtered signal randomly depending on the selected beat. The “mix” knob mixies wet and dry signals, The “volume” knob is for setting the output volume level. The”Bit crusher” produces hard sound. Using its scramble feature you can maintain the rhythmic, choppy, buffered and tempo sync output.

Aeiou is a vocal filter - its purpose is to apply the spectrum characteristics of the mouth to the input signal by filtering it. By applying the effect to rich signals (saw or square oscillations) it gives the illusion of a human who is sustaining a vowel such as 'a' ,'e' ,'i', etc.
The effect parameters are:
The most important is 'vowel'.
'Size' can be used to spread the output bandwidth.
'Slope' can be used to give some brightness to the result. Technically it is increasing or decreasing the filters gain on the frequency axis.
'Peaking' is a minor parameter. It can be used to increase the filters resonance but it will also reduce the bandwidth.
When 'Smooth' is set to 0, the vowel transitions are direct, when set over 0 they are smoothed.

Basically, it is a normal state-variable filter. The twist is that the filter frequency can be controlled by MIDI note number in addition to the normal knob-twisting action. You instansiate it as an insert effect (or send, if you feel daring), then assign a MIDI track to it the same way you would to, say, a VSTi or other MIDI-capable effect. You can then "play" the filter with your MIDI keyboard. |

Kaotica is a 12db/octave band pass filter modulated by a *Fractal* LFO.
The key of the effect is the Mu parameter, it's the seed for the fractal shape, for each value of Mu you got a different LFO waveform: sometimes close to a random behaviour, other times performing cyclic patterns. Each value leads to a unique shape.
You can set the LFO rate in Hz and the Hardness of the LFO waveform: smooth or hard jumps. |

"keFIR" is a VST, zero latency, mono FIR filter based on impulse responses loaded from wave files. Filter length can be adjusted to maximum of 8K taps.
It has a "mix" knob for mixing input with output, "gain" knob for setting output volume level, "length" knob for setting filter length (you can also set the length by clicking right mouse button on impulse response). Adjusting filter length will linearly affect CPU usage, more taps used require more CPU power. User can optimize it by choosing proper filter length, for example some amp cabinet impulse responses have long tail of 'almost zero' coefficients which can be shortened without audible difference, to save some extra CPU cycles.
The plug requires at least Pentium 3 (it's highly optimized with SSE code) and Windows OS. |

Naive LPF is a resonant low/high-pass filter plug-in VST effect for Windows with a very convincing, classic sound. Naive LPF features a separate envelope follower for each of 6 channels and full automation, MIDI CC and even joystick control of all parameters.
This filter has been developed to closely model the way some real world analog circuits work, as opposed to some other techniques which, while well adapted to the math processing power of a computer, just don't seem to render the same organic feel. Not to say that those techniques aren't just as valid in some applications, but this particular effect was designed to provide "analog feel" at the expense of a bit more processing power. This was not intended to be a "clean" or "transparent" filter by any means. Really, at this point in its development it should be called the "Not-So-Naive LPF" because it's actually quite a sophisticated and useful implementation. |

The QR filter implements a lowpass if the frequency slider is on the left and a highpass if the slider is on the right. In between the audio is passed through. Additionally the Q can be changed. |

This plugin allows the user to perform a warped LP analysis of the input signal for each of four independent filter banks, whereafter the user can warp between all four filters using the XY touchpad control or use the 'filter warp' slider to change the warping in the filtering stage. The results tend towards bellish sounds or weird sleeping sounds reminiscent of the EMU Morpheus' filters. |

The Sanford Auto Filter represents a classic auto filter. An auto filter uses an envelope follower to track the dynamics of your playing. It uses these dynamics to modulate the filter's cutoff frequency. The effect is much like a "wah-wah" pedal only instead of you controlling the filter manually, the auto filter takes care of modulating the filter for you. The harder/louder you play a note, the more the filter opens up. As the note fades, the filter slowly closes. This effects adds an element of expression to your playing.
The Sanford Auto Filter gives all of the features you'd expect in an auto filter and much more. An LFO is provided as a modulation source in addition to the envelope follower. Also, the modulation wheel, expression pedal, and channel pressure can be used as modulation sources allowing you to directly control filter modulation. Two modulation sources can be used at the same time creating rich and deep sounds.

This is a dual filter bank with a ring modulator and distortion. This was created because my favorite filter plugin could only do ring modulation with one of the two filters, and I wanted to be able to have ring mod AND two filters. More distortion seemed like a good idea too. For modulation, there are 2 LFOs and 2 step sequencers, plus the combiner module as seen in the noisebots. "TADF" stands for Total Audio Destruction Filter. |

Stepcomb is a stereo comb filter vst effect. The frequency of the comb filter is controlled by a step sequencer with pitch and octave.There is also a standard SV filter before the comb to control the sounds (which can sometimes be very brutal). There is a cv sequencer which can effect the comb pitch and/or the filter cutoff. A noise oscilator can be used to excite the signal and an HPF (postfilter) can remove unwanted bass frequencies.When processing a stereo track, the right comb can be offset by octaves or semitones. This plugin uses some parts from the forthcoming synth "groove modulator" such as the step sequencer, shuffle clock and the randomiser. The step sequencer section is designed to be transferable between projects so if youre synth needs a sequencer, grab the source files to stepcomb and copy and paste. |
