cairo is a tempo synchronized gate effect. choose a gate speed, and modify the envelope to cut up your audio into different sized slices, with soft or smooth edges. a biquad filter, soft distortion, and overall mix round out the effect. version 1.1 adds the randomizer and improved UI control over the speed setting. |

Chopper is a pattern controlled gate. When used on a stereo track you can widen the sound by delaying the right channel or by using the flipflop pan which switched the pan for each gate trigger.

A stereo, step-sequenced gate effect. It can be used as an insert or as a send and is useful for all those 'trancey' type gate effects and more. |

FLOORFISH is a simple expander / gate device, easy to set up and offers a broad variety of processing, ranging from slight expansion, backgound noise attenuation to extreme gating effects.
What's different from similar units is the ability to scan the source and adjust the transistion curve accordingly. |

An Audio Gate with very fast tracking
Tracking starts at about -60db and seems to be quite smooth on the gate close.
Very low CPU usage, Zero latency with a fade in of about 1.5ms
4 versions are included in the download:
* Mono gate
* Stereo gate
* Mono gate side chained
* Stereo gate side chained. |

gator is a tempo-sync'd probability-based gate, triggering between 2 adjustable volume values
Choose from 8 to 16 steps per bar (measure) and the probability of triggering the gate (from 0% to 100%) for each step. As the track plays, the gate will loop through the steps and randomly trigger depending on the probability assigned to each step.
You choose a lower and an upper volume value, the lower value is the default (unless the invert button is pressed) and the upper value is triggered according to the step sequencer |

this plugin provides a beat-syncronised gate (whole to 1/64th notes) with volume sliders for each step, also a multimode filter and delay/reverb

GetaBlitch Jr. is a sequenced gate effect that is different from traditional "trance gates" in two significant ways: first, it uses MIDI to sequence the gate, rather than a built-in step sequencer; second, it gates the left and right channels of a stereo signal independently and potentially simultaneously. |

GGate is a noise-gate effect. It silences the signal when its level drops below the threshold, given by the Thresh parameter.
You can specify the Fade, which is the amount of time taken to mute the signal, and the Attack, which is the time taken to unmute the signal.
When you are mixing several recorded tracks together, the little noise present in each adds up. During quieter passages, the background noise from "silent" tracks can become a problem. A noise-gate is a simple and convenient way to silence the parts of a track that are supposed to be silent. |

Simple sidechain gate effect. It has two stereo inputs (the second is for the key input) so will need a host with flexible routing possibilities. |

killerGATE+ is NOVAkILL's first VST effect. It combines many elements found on the synths into a handy multi-effects unit. It features an expanded GATE, a State-Variable Filter with resonance, an LFO and Distortion with Wet/Dry mix controls. It should be used as an insert effect. |

mgTriggerGate is a sequenced gate, similar to the trancegate effect found in reFX' Vanguard. It has a little 16-step-sequencer for trigger impulses, is syncable to host tempo and all important parameters are automatable. |

Simple MIDI gate with invert button and ASR envelope.
In normal mode it works as a regular gate, in inverted mode when you play a note it will lower the volume, this is useful to create a controlled pumping effect like when using a sidechain compressor. |

This is a plugin that was created to control midi mutes on analogue boards
Inserted across an audio track on your DAW the plugin will will out put a note on message when ever the audio on that track drops below the threshold and a note off message above the threshold
For mixers that have built in midi mute that have a note on value to close them any normal audio to midi trigger would close the gate on audio and open it when there is no audio, this works in reverse
It is intended to be used to automaticaly turn on mutes when there is no audio so as to keep the inputs to the mixer as quite as possible
It is a work in progress so please let me know how you get on with it |

moot is a flexible audio mute plugin with a number of additional features. The aim is to have a mute switch (Hit Me) that can be assigned to a single midi controller key and act in 3 ways
- as a latch (one press mute, release stays muted, next press unmute, release stays unmuted)
- in unmute mode (hold down to mute, release to play audio)
- in mute mode (hold down to play audio, release to mute)
In addition there is an audio gate to chop the audio and an independant ping-pong to alternate the audio between left and right channels.

satter is a sequencer driven saturation/gater effect.
the sequencer controlls the saturation amount.
if no step is set the signal get muted.

This is an experimental gating plugin- basically a rhythmic gate, but not set up in the standard way. There are two periodic gates which can be used for anything from regular rhythmic chopping to random rhythmic manipulations and strange dropouts. The gates are followed by a delay unit designed to enhance the glitchiness- it does not sync to tempo, and the delay time and gain can be randomized. There are 5 LFOs to add to the fun. A few presets are included to give you an idea of how things work. |

Skidder turns your sound on and off. While that may not sound very rewarding, you have a great deal of control over the rate, pulsewidth, on/off slope, panning width, etc. You can also relinquish some control to randomization. Skidder can also sync with your song tempo and can be triggered by MIDI notes. |

Updated Audio/Midi Gate
This is a gate with two functions
A standard audio gate and an audio to midi trigger
Where it differs is that in midi mode when the audio is below the threshold a midi note on message is sent and a note off message below the threshold
It is intended to be use to trigger midi mutes on analogue mixers that require a note on message to mute
It could also be used to trigger synths in an opposite way than a standard audio to midi trig

TranceGate is kind of like a tremolo on steroids, you'll notice a collection of vertical bars at the top of the screenshot. These bars represent volume levels, so if you imagine the signal travelling from Left to Right, as it hits a bar, the volume level of that bar is applied to it. If the bar is all the way at the top, the volume level is full, likewise all the way down it is off. There are also tempo in BPM, and Note duration. BPM is set by the host DAW, and if there is no DAW, then it is set to 120. The Note duration is Whole Note, Quarter Note, Half Note, etc. |

Trance-Gate is a plugIn for the creation of gate effects. The opening and closing of the gate is triggered by incoming MIDI-notes - note on events trigger the opening phase, note-off events trigger the closing phase. As opposed to gates with a built in step sequencer this has two advantages: first, it gives the user more flexibility in the rhythmic opening and closing because the user can take full advantage of all MIDI functions which the chosen sequencer software provides (different note-lengths for each step, changing rythms, etc.). And second: the plugIn is small and does not take much space on the monitor. ...and it did not take much time to implement it :-). |

The main difference between this and a regular noise gate is that here the threshold can have be set to behave dynamically. This makes it possible for the gate to let through transients at a range of volumes.
This 'transient gate' system works particularly well with percussive input audio with a fairly large dynamic range. |
