 A fairly classic synth concept by HGFortune in a special version for www.midi-musiker.de featuring some peculiarities in detail. Instead of the Colorizer with HP filter of the regular version of Anvilia this one has got two Spook Effects to shape the sound even further with a different layout of modulations. Thus it is possible to mix four different soundlayers: direct out of the oscillators, Spook A, Spook B and filter. Among the 256 inbuilt waveforms are 32 image generated waves (as used within HGF's Alien Space Weaver) with quite complex structure. Anvilai MM is capable of very vivid and complex sounds for textures, ahtmos and Pads plus fairly common synthsounds.

 This is the free version of Astralis Orgone which is Orgone with a reduced feature set. It is free and fully functional and a feature packed synth in its own right. It is limited to a single synth as opposed to the 2 in Orgone and is locked to use a set of 25 samples.  This is a simple AU instrument - it loads a sample from disk (in AIFF, SD2 or WAV format) and plays it back in the classic sampler way i.e. higher notes get shorter, lower notes longer.
It loops the sample using a crossfade (hence the name). The idea is to make it easy to produce smoothly looping pad sounds from pretty much any sample. |

Now, spurred on by an off the cuff suggestion by Gearwire's own Dan Agosto, Ian has taken his classic free VST and given it new life by adding 3 new sampling oscillators that accept the sf2 format. The integrated mix controls allow you to crossfade between each of the standard oscillators and the soundfont playback ones discreetly.  Monkey Orchestra is a synth based on a piano string structure model.
So it has 88 independant keys. 10 lowest trigger 1 string, 18 next trigger 2 strings, 60 highest trigger 3 strings, wich makes a lot of strings.
You can tune each 226 strings individually.
The strings are fed by (very) short samples.
Interface gives you control over several parameters.
Most of the controls can be triggered by Lfos or peak follower. |

 Monochrome SL1 is a simple and easy to use 1-slot stereo sample player built with Outsim SynthMaker.
You can set the start and end points, reverse the sequence, change the sequence speed, adjust the pitch and add effects.
Or just loop a sequence, it's up to you...
Monochrome works well for D'n'B and Dub loops et cetera... or just for random glitchy percussion and total chaos.

 Morpheus is a velocity sensitive FM sampler with 2-pole multimode
filter. User can use any individual wave sample as modulator and
other one as carrier signal. It's concept is very simple but it can
produce a wide range of quite unusual dark ambient, noise or industrial
atmospheric sounds in the spirit of David Lynch's Eraserhead. When wide
stereo sample is used as a carrier (for example pad with lots of reverb)
one can achieve interesting stereo textures. These sounds beg for huge
delays and reverbs. Be not alarmed about the size of the download, it
includes few samples for the factory preset patches. |

 The sound engine comprises two independend sources - a SF2 and a WAV sound.
In the mixer you can mix the 2 original sounds with the output of the 2 filters so that you have in total 6 sources of sound.
In the filtersection you can controll cutoff and resonance via a X-Y controller.
The LFOs will run in synch with the DAW controlled by the quantize function. The quantize will not only accept standard values like 1/4 or 1/8 but also unusual ones like 7/25
With the effects 'tremolo' and 'vibrato' besides the controlls 'depth' and 'speed' we have the function 'random' which will bring an element of chance and irregularity in the function of the effects.
The EQ has a standard increase of 12db for higher frequences

 Umbra is basically a Waveset of 128 complex waveforms as SF2 plus a specially designed VSTi
Synthesizer / SF2 (Soundfont) player. The Umbra waveset consists of complex waveforms which
are best suited for dark ambient, soundscapes, athmospheres, textures and rather experimental sounds.
The Umbra waveset can be used also with STS-26 and ProtoPlasm21 and other sf2 compatible apps. As of
STS-26 and ProtoPlasm 21 it is recommeded not to load it into all slots as sound might get too fat then. ;-)

 VerzerSampSynth is a raw and aggressive VST instrument plugin. It uses both sampling (using soundfonts) and synthesis to produce the harsh sounds. The synth side of the instrument takes many of its parameters from the sampler sounds. Using sample and hold distortion, wave shaping, and global cutoff/resonance filtering you can model a truly visceral sound. |

 X-Wheel of Fortune 3 (X-WoF 3) is a multipart integrated algorithmic VSTi music system
for creating tracks based on 8 instruments-parts: Pad 1 synthesizer, Pad 2 synthesizer,
Bass synthesizer, Hi Sq Synthesizer, Kick, HiHat, Perc3 to Perc5 and Variable Atmospheric Oneshot Sq.
Each patch/preset may be a complete musical track, a track for backing a live performance etc.
All this can be arranged in two different ways using the algorithmic Wheel mode for free floating
or the Scale step mode for harmonically prestructured tracks.
There are more than 80 selectable PCM waves for the Pad synthesizers, over 200 Percussion
instruments and drums. In addition wavefiles can be loaded at pad parts and for percussion.
Also featured is an inbuilt quickhelp system covering the most needed topics including
a quicktutorial with resp. patch.
It's a tool for incredibly easy track creation for many types of electronic music.
